3D Made Easy -- Google SketchUp 6.0.277

Google SketchUp

THE Premier download your looking for, if your either an aspiring architect or enjoy modeling or just want to learn how to "do" 3d. Google SketchUp is one of the easier modeling programs out there for the sole reason that it includes tutorials that can get you started in a relativly short time. The controls are simple and easy to use, and the interface is mostly uncomplicated.

Out of all of the other mainstream 3d modeling programs out there, such as 3dmax, or AutoCAD, you should check this one out first. It's the one program that will help you get into the more advanced programs as listed above. But it should be noted that Google SketchUp isn't just for the novice, it's also a powerful modeling program for the most advanced of 3d model and concept artists.

You can use the easy tool interface to draw simple shapes such as a circle or rectangle, and then use a tool included called the "extrude" tool to "extrude" the shape into a 3d form. It's exciting to learn with this program and becuase of it's easy user friendly setup, you will be suprised what you can create right off the bat.

Another great feature you can do with SketchUp that you can't do with any other mainstream 3D modeling program, you can actually save your model and upload it to Google's Global Map system (a.k.a) Google Earth. Speaking of which, if your unsure if you should download this program, check out Google Earth if you have it, and you will notice untextured buildings modeled after major landmarks, and soon they will actually be more detailed with textures.

Exciting, and easy to use, the interface being one of the key aspects of the download, you can't go wrong with SketchUp Application. To Download simply go here..

Rhapsody -- Free Music Downloads -- 14 Days Free!

www.rhapsody.com/

Lets talk about Rhapsody, a music subscription service by Comcast Communications. A downloadable service (which is why it's on this site) that gives you access to thousands of songs, playlists and an amazing selection of titles ranging from light music to hardcore and everything in between.

The reason it's being featured here i becuase they allow you to download their service and try it for free, and in my opinion it's a good deal considering you get 20 free songs in the free version. Once the 20 songs runs out, you can either wait a month, (where it will refresh and you will obtain 20 more song choices) or you can purchase a subscription from them for a low price.

Now before we dove into it's cost, lets see some of the fantastic reviews it's recieved from these major electronic and internet publishers..

The 2007 PC World 20 Most Innovative Products Award

Editor's Choice October 2006

Billboard DEMMX Winner December 2006

Although this is an understatement considering it's gotten many more great reviews in magazines such as Computer Shopper and Game Informer.

As far as price goes here's the lowdown, you can get unlimited downloads, a HUGE library of music, and a great sorted out layout player for only 14.99 a month. I've actually tried this and it's not a letdown, it's worth alot more, really when you think about the fact that you get more song choices than ANY other subscription service out there, not even Napster can compete with this amazing downloadable service.

As so, since this IS a Downloads and Software site, you might want to try out the free version download before you upgrade, you get 14 days free, (note: you get 14 days, but you only get 20 song selections) after which you can choose to subscribe via Credit Card or Debit/Online Transaction or you can just wait until the next month, which I said before, cycles it self or "refreshes" to give you 20 more song choices.
